Special Fruit
One morning, Mowgli went into the jungle and found his friend Baloo. "come on, Baloo, let's hawe a race to that big tree, suggested Mowgli, pointing towards a big tree in the distance.
Mowgli sprinted off toward the tree. But after a few moments he realized that he was already way out in front. Whwn stopped and looked behind him, he saw Baloo huffing and puffing along. "I must have put on some weight," gasped Baloo. Mowgli decided that Baloo needed a little help with his diet. "There are special fruits for you" announced Mowgli. "Special fruit? Where do they grow?" puzzled Baloo. "up there," grinned Mowgli, Pointing to the top of a high cliff.
Baloo coulden't resist the thought of special fruits, so he started to sramble up the cliff.
But Baloo was so big and heavy that he soon became tired and he had to turn back. So for the next two weeks, Baloo wan't to cliff every day and tired to climb to the top.
On the fifteenth day, Baloo was determined to reach the top. "so where are the special fruit's?" asked Baloo. "right there," said Mowgli, pointing toward a pawpaw tree. "hey! you tericked me. they're not special fruit's. They're exactly the same as the pawpaws at the bottom of the cliff," growled Baloo. "but you had a special effort to reach these ones," giggled Mowgli. Baloo realized that the big climb had given him twice his usual appetite. "yum yum! you're right!" chomped Baloo. And the finally, Baloo and Mowgli eat the special fruit with their friend.
